KATO, Daiki

Daiki Kato , (b. July 29, 1987) Japanese marimbist/percussionist and composer, was the life long student of Kazuko Ogawa in percussion, has been taught composing from Eiji Suzuki.

Daiki was born and raised in Gifu prefecture. As a youth, he loves to play piano also was enthusiastically into composing. He began to participate in numbers of bands when he was in middle school; including school band, community band, etc.

In demand as a great percussionist with superb techniques, he's also is a great piano accompanist. Collaborating with divert artist and various play. He has composed a wide variety of music including wind ensemble, percussion music, and piano music as well.

Among his many honors and awards, Daiki Kato has participated in the 45th TIAA Japan National Classical Concert as guest player, given a recital in Shobi Fresh Concert as a selected artist. He has his own percussion ensemble band called "LA Beat".

Currently he is enrolled in a conservatory called "Shobi College of Music" majoring percussion in diploma course.
